Hit the 4 API Wallet Limit
Hyperliquid allows a maximum of 4 active API wallets per account. If you've traded on multiple devices, used other Hyperliquid frontends, or revoked and re-authorized keys over time, you may hit this cap.
See Hyperliquid's API wallet docs for the authoritative limits.
How to fix it
- Go to Hyperliquid.com → Settings → API
- Review the list of active keys. Aura names its keys with a timestamp prefix (e.g.
aura-1712345678) so they're easy to identify - Revoke a key you no longer use — prefer the oldest one or one from a device you no longer have
- Return to Aura and tap the CTA to retry — the agent key step will complete with a new key
Which key should I revoke?
Revoking a key only affects that device's ability to trade. It does not affect your funds, positions, or open orders. If you're unsure which to remove, pick the oldest one. You can always re-authorize on that device again.
If all 4 keys are from devices you actively use, revoke one and accept that you'll need to re-authorize on that device the next time you trade from it.
The error keeps appearing after revoking
Refresh the Aura page before retrying. The slot check is done at the moment you submit the agent key step — if you revoked on Hyperliquid but didn't refresh Aura, it may still show the old count.
