Managing API Wallets

Hyperliquid enforces a hard cap of 4 active API wallets per account. If you trade on multiple devices or have been using Hyperliquid directly alongside Aura, you may accumulate wallets over time.

Hyperliquid's API wallet documentation is available in their docs.

Viewing your active API wallets

Go to Hyperliquid.com → Settings → API. You'll see all active agent keys with their names and creation dates. Aura names its keys with a timestamp (e.g. aura-1712345678) so you can identify them.

Revoking a wallet

Select the wallet you want to remove and revoke it. The key is deauthorized immediately on Hyperliquid. If that key was being used by an active Aura session, that device will prompt you to re-authorize next time you trade.

When choosing which to revoke, prefer old keys from devices you no longer use. If you're unsure, revoke the oldest one — you can always re-authorize on any device with a new key.

If you hit the 4-wallet limit

Aura will surface an error during the agent key step. To unblock:

  1. Go to Hyperliquid → Settings → API
  2. Revoke one key you no longer need
  3. Return to Aura and retry — the flow will complete with a new key

See Hit the 4 API wallet limit for step-by-step troubleshooting.
