Getting Started with Aura
Pick a sign-in path
New Aura account (Google, Apple, or email) — Aura creates a dedicated embedded wallet via Privy. This is the zero-fee path: no builder fees until $1B lifetime volume, all gas sponsored. You don't need an existing wallet.
Bring your wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect, any EVM wallet) — connect and sign in. You keep full custody. A standard 0.1bp Aura builder fee applies on mainnet perps. Aura never touches funds in your external wallet.
Not sure which to pick? See Embedded vs External Wallet.
Enable trading
After signing in, you'll go through a short one-time setup to enable trading on Hyperliquid. Each step requires one signature:
-
Agent key — authorizes an on-device API wallet to place orders without signing each trade. It can place, cancel, and modify orders. It cannot withdraw or transfer funds. Learn more.
-
Unified account — switches your HL account to unified mode, which lets you trade USDC and USDH markets from a single balance. Required by Hyperliquid before setting a referrer or approving fees.
-
Set referrer — sets Aura as your Hyperliquid referrer. Aura earns a share of your HL fees from Hyperliquid's fee pool at no extra cost to you.
-
Builder fee — one-time approval for Aura's 0.1% fee ceiling on mainnet perps. Not charged on perps.fun. Revocable any time from Hyperliquid.
You only do this once per device. If you clear site data or reinstall the app, the agent key step repeats — your funds and positions are never at risk. See Lost device or cleared storage.
Deposit
To trade on Hyperliquid, you need USDC in your HL account. Send directly from Hyperliquid.com or the HL app to your Aura wallet address, or use the built-in Moonpay widget to buy with a card or bank transfer. See How to deposit.
Polymarket requires USDC.e on Polygon. See Prediction Markets on Aura for details.
You're set
Once trading is enabled, orders execute immediately — no per-trade signatures. Your positions, open orders, and fill history are all visible from the trade panel.
